BE THE PLANNER THAT ALL THE VENDORS AND VENUES WHAT TO WORK WITH

We're lucky enough to work with planners who already do this and more.
When your vendors feel respected they perfom 1000% better, they do what they can to acommodate, and go above and beyond, when possible. Most of the time, vendors don't even interact with the couple or group until the day of set up or rehearsal, so you represent your client. What can you do to create that great relationship?

SHARE
When those highly anticipated professional shots come in, Don't forget to include and share with your vendors.
Along with the actual social media handles for all the vendors involved and what they provided. An easy to copy and paste list encourages vendor to POST POST POST. They will appreciate being able to show off all their hard work.

RESPECT
  • Let's start with policy. Every company operates differently. Review the vendor's SOPs (or standard operating procedures) and abide by it. Don't ask them to justify why they don't operate like "other" vendors. Respect their policy and they'll respect yours
  • Don't withhold information to avoid fees. It'll cost more in the end.
  • Pay the retainer to secure the date.
  • But most of all don't be moody. I grew up in a time when "leave your personal problems at home" was a thing. As the Planner, you set the whole vibe.
